Postdoctoral Scholarship in Radio Astronomy

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in radio astronomy at Caltech to work with Prof. Gregg Hallinan and Prof. Vikram Ravi. 

Candidates with expertise in interferometric calibration and imaging, particularly relating to wide-field direction-dependent calibration, are particularly encouraged to apply. The applicant will participate in science and development for the OVRO-LWA, DSA and DSA-2000 projects as well as the Radio Camera Initiative (RCI) -

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Astronomy, Physics, or a related field. The applicant will also have the opportunity to join the science teams for the LWA and DSA projects.  The postdoctoral fellowship position can start as soon as the applicant is available or at the latest by October 1, 2021. Initial appointments will be for two years, with a possible renewal for up to an additional two years, contingent upon performance and funding. 

Fellowship recipients will have the opportunity to propose for time on Caltech's astronomical facilities, including Palomar Observatory and at the W. M.
