Dr. Morgan Ward Undergraduate Mathematics Travel Fund

A Caltech undergraduate math alumnus has generously provided funding to establish the Dr. Morgan Ward travel fund. Dr. Morgan Ward was an influential Caltech professor of mathematics from 1929 to 1963. He completed his PhD at the institute in 1928 under the supervision of Eric Temple Bell. He advised a number of students, including Dr. Robert Dilworth who also went on to become a professor of mathematics at Caltech. His contributions to the education of mathematics students in higher education, and at the elementary school level, continue to this day. The fund established in his name provides opportunities for current undergraduate math students to travel while they expand and share their mathematical knowledge. Students are eligible for up to $500 of funding at one time. To apply, please fill out the form here.

If you require additional funding, you may want to consider applying for the Caltech-wide George Housner fund.
